In partnership with the Canadian Hockey League, Sherwin-Williams brought their 4th annual Paint the Community initiative to Regina, Saskatchewan, as part of the 2018 Mastercard Memorial Cup.

This year’s event was held in nearby Balgonie where OHL Commissioner David Branch and WHL Commissioner Ron Robison joined Sherwin-Williams local employees who donated their time, paint, and painting supplies to revitalize the dressing rooms and ice-level area of the local rink.

Built in 1999, the Balgonie Stardome has been a pillar of the community since it opened its doors. The facility hosts ice hockey, ball hockey, Ringette, Broomball, lacrosse and curling events not just for the town of Balgonie, but also for neighbouring communities. The Stardome is the Hub of the community and used by Balgonie residents of all ages.

2018 Mastercard Memorial Cup Honourary Captain Dennis Sobchuk and Regina Pats alumnus Ed Staniowski were also on hand for the day connecting with local students, playing ball hockey, and posing for pictures with the Memorial Cup.

The Canadian Hockey League and Sherwin-Williams Paints would like to thank all who made this event such a great success!
