138 of the Canadian Hockey League’s most passionate fans gathered at Regina’s Wa Wa Shrine Centre on the first Sunday of the 2018 Mastercard Memorial Cup to continue an annual tradition.

The 13th edition of the Mastercard Memorial Cup Fan Breakfast brought together fans of all ages and from places near and far for fellowship and fundraising, this year in support of KidSport Regina.

Over $6,400 was raised through ticket sales, raffles, and a prize table loaded with donated items from attendees as well as teams across the CHL.

KidSport is a national not-for-profit organization that provides financial assistance for registration fees and equipment to kids aged 18 and under.  KidSport Regina is one of the country’s 166 community chapters that have collectively helped over 750,000 kids in Canada since its creation in 1993.

This was the eighth year the Fan Breakfast included a charity component in partnership with the host organizing committee bringing the total funds raised to over $43,000 for various charities in Mississauga, Shawinigan, Saskatoon, London, Quebec City, Red Deer, and Windsor.

The Memorial Cup Fan Breakfast was orchestrated by the ‘Junior Hockey Junkies’ attending their 20th consecutive Mastercard Memorial Cup.
